Kamalanagar, February 1, 2024 – The Tongchangya community in Kamalanagar gathered today for their annual picnic at Kali Kumar Tongchangya’s Garden along the TSU Kamalanagar Circle General Meeting, marked by a spirit of unity and cultural pride.
At the gathering, the President of the Central Young Chakma Association, Dr. Jyoti Bikash Chakma, presented and remarked on uniting for a common cause. Tongchangya Students’ Union, Mr Sagoto Tongchangya with some Central TSU executive members and advisor Mr. Shantanu Tongchangya, former President of Central TSU, Rev. A Kandrajoy Tongchangya, the Audit Committee, also shared to stay supportive of society.
Damdep MDC, Mr. Hiranand Tongchangya, and another intellectual from Tongchangya communities in Kamalanagar remarked encouraging speech to work for the socio-educational upliftment of the community and helping the needy, sick persons from remote villages. Along with them, Government service holders and College students made the gathering inclusive and colourful of the meeting.
Mr. Rakeshor Tongchangya, President of the Tongchangya Students Union, Kamalanagar Circle, expressed gratitude to his Team of TSU Kamalanagar Circle Executive Committee, elders, distinguished guests, and community members for their unwavering to participate in the Picnic cum TSU Kamalanagar Circle General Meeting.
The collaborative participation of the social-educational community will bring the Tongchangya community forward in the coming days. The President of TSU Circle Kamalanagar expressed his team for organising volunteering and supporting the event successfully today, where the community gets together on a platform.
May the Tongchangya Students’ Union collaborate with the communities despite different political ideas and opinions, sit under the same umbrella, and work tirelessly for the socio-economic and educational upliftment of the community.
